Roll up your sleeves and let your creativity rise! Baking Boldly is a hands-on workforce development program designed to empower neurodivergent adults through the art and business of baking. This inclusive initiative blends culinary training with essential workplace and life skills, helping participants gain confidence, competence, and community connection.
In this 3-day workshop, participants will learn baking fundamentals—from bread making to pastry decoration—in a supportive, low-sensory environment tailored to diverse learning styles and sensory needs.
Program Details:
- 3-Day Workshop: July 15-17 or July 22-24
- Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (4 hours each)
- Location: Café NeuroBlend Training Venue, 45698 Elmwood Court, #A, Sterling, VA 20166
- Group Size: Small cohorts (max 4 per group)
- Cost: $375.00 per person (No Refunds for Missed Class)
What You Will Learn:
- Baking fundamentals (measuring, mixing, kneading).
- Bread making techniques (sourdough, rolls, loaves).
- Pastry decoration and folding skills.
- Food handling fundamentals and safe food handling.
- Teamwork, time management, and customer service.
- Cleaning, maintenance, and kitchen safety practices.
- Creative recipe development and adaptation.

Participant Profile:
We welcome participants who are:
- Neurodivergent (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.).
- Aged 18 and up.
- Ready to learn in a small, supportive group.
- Looking to gain real skills for work or everyday life.
